Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the LAWL mobile application, website, and related services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”) operated by Legal Automation Workflow Labs LLP, a Limited Liability Partnership registered in India with its office at:

By accessing or using the Platform, users agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
Nature of the Platform
LAWL is a technology intermediary platform that facilitates connections between users seeking legal consultation and verified licensed advocates.
LAWL:
- Does not provide legal advice.
- Does not guarantee legal outcomes.
- Does not represent either party in any legal matter.
All legal consultation provided on the Platform is delivered solely by independent advocates.
The lawyer-client relationship exists strictly between the lawyer and the user, and not with LAWL.
Eligibility
Users of the Platform must:
- Provide accurate personal information
- Complete account verification through email and phone OTP
- Use the Platform only for lawful purposes
There is no minimum age restriction; however, users under applicable legal age must use the Platform under the supervision of a legal guardian where required by law.
User Account Registration
Users must create an account to access consultation services.
Account verification includes:
- Phone OTP verification
- Email verification
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.
LAWL is not responsible for unauthorized account access resulting from user negligence.
Lawyer Onboarding and Verification
Advocates wishing to provide consultations must complete a verification process that includes submission of:
- Bar Council Enrollment Number
- Bar Council Enrollment Certificate
- Law Degree Certificate
- Identity verification
- Photograph verification
Only verified advocates may provide consultation services through the Platform.
LAWL reserves the right to reject or suspend any lawyer account if verification fails or information is inaccurate.
Services Offered
The Platform may offer the following services:
- Chat-based legal consultation
- Audio call consultation
- Video call consultation
- Document review consultation
- Case document upload and sharing
- Lawyer availability discovery
- Court case reminders for lawyers
Future services may include:
- AI-assisted lawyer recommendations
- AI-based legal act suggestions
- Location-based lawyer booking services
Wallet System
LAWL operates a closed wallet credit system for consultations.
Users may add funds to their wallet to purchase consultation sessions.
Wallet credits:
- Can only be used for services within the Platform
- Cannot be withdrawn to a bank account
- Cannot be transferred to other users
Unused wallet credits remain available for future consultations.
Consultation Booking and Duration
Consultations are typically conducted in 15-minute sessions.
The consultation rate may vary depending on the lawyer’s pricing.
Consultation sessions may occur via:
- Chat
- Voice call
- Video call
Lawyers may activate or deactivate their availability on the Platform at their discretion.
Lawyer Payment Settlement
Payments to lawyers are processed after a 7-day dispute review period.
Settlement Model: T + 7 days
During this period, users may raise disputes regarding the consultation service. Lawyers cannot withdraw earnings until the dispute window has expired.
Refund and Dispute Policy
If a consultation session has not started, the wallet balance remains unchanged.
If a consultation session has started, users may raise a dispute within 7 days of the consultation.
Refunds are evaluated and processed by the LAWL support and dispute resolution team.
Refund eligibility will depend on the circumstances of the dispute.
Document Upload Policy
Users may upload case-related documents for consultation.
Document rules:
- Maximum file size: 20 MB
- Documents must be authentic and lawful
Uploaded documents are stored temporarily for consultation purposes and are automatically deleted within 3 days after the consultation.
Users are solely responsible for the authenticity and legality of uploaded documents.
Chat Retention Policy
Users may choose whether to retain chat history after a consultation session.
If retained, chat data may be stored for up to 2 years.
Users may delete chat history immediately after consultation if they choose not to retain it.
Call and Video Privacy
Audio and video consultations conducted through the Platform are not recorded by LAWL.
Chat conversations are encrypted and may only be accessed by LAWL administrators if a dispute investigation is initiated.
Consultation Feedback
Users may rate the consultation session experience.
Users cannot publicly rate or rank lawyers to ensure compliance with professional regulations governing advocates.
Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Upload forged or illegal documents
- Impersonate another individual
- Harass or abuse lawyers
- Use the Platform for unlawful activities
- Attempt fraud or payment manipulation
Violation of these policies may result in account suspension or termination.
Lawyer Professional Conduct
Lawyers using the Platform must adhere to professional ethics and legal practice regulations.
Lawyers must not:
- Misrepresent qualifications
- Provide misleading information
- Engage in fraudulent behavior
- Violate professional ethical standards
LAWL reserves the right to remove lawyers who violate these standards.
Misconduct and Account Suspension
Accounts may be flagged, suspended, or permanently banned for:
- fraud
- abusive conduct
- ethical violations
- misuse of the Platform
LAWL reserves the right to take necessary action to maintain platform integrity.
Data Sharing
User information may be shared with:
- the lawyer providing consultation
- payment processing partners
- government authorities where required by law
LAWL is not responsible for information voluntarily shared between users and lawyers during consultations.
Payment and Taxation
Consultation payments are processed through authorized payment gateways.
LAWL may:
- generate GST invoices
- deduct applicable taxes including TDS
Tax obligations for lawyers remain their responsibility under applicable tax laws.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property related to the Platform, including but not limited to:
- software
- application design
- source code
- trademarks
- logos
belongs to Legal Automation Workflow Labs LLP.
Unauthorized reproduction or use is strictly prohibited.
Limitation of Liability
LAWL shall not be liable for:
- legal advice provided by lawyers
- the outcome of legal matters
- disputes between lawyers and users
- losses resulting from reliance on consultations
The Platform only facilitates communication between users and lawyers.
Indemnification
Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legal Automation Workflow Labs LLP against any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
- misuse of the Platform
- violation of these Terms
- unlawful activities conducted through the Platform
Force Majeure
LAWL shall not be liable for service interruptions resulting from events beyond its reasonable control including:
- natural disasters
- cyber attacks
- internet failures
- government actions
Account Termination
LAWL reserves the right to suspend or terminate user or lawyer accounts at its discretion in cases of:
- policy violations
- fraud
- misuse of services
Data Retention After Account Deletion
If a user deletes their account, certain information may be retained for up to 90 days for legal compliance and dispute resolution purposes.
Future AI Features
The Platform may introduce AI-based features to assist users in discovering lawyers and identifying relevant legal acts.
Such AI tools are intended for informational assistance only and do not constitute legal advice.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from the use of the Platform shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Grievance Redressal
Users may contact the grievance officer for complaints or concerns.

LAWL will make reasonable efforts to respond to complaints within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to Terms
LAWL reserves the right to update these Terms from time to time.
Users will be notified of significant changes through the Platform or email notifications.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Platform, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
